Relatively easy to use by untrained user - using notes, the user can be developing scenarios within an hour. The tool provided clear outputs in the form of charts and tables and the data can be exported. The tool is based on standard datasets and comes with pre-loaded demographic and sector information at the local authority level. In addition to the pre-loaded measures, users can design new measures and scenarios based on user-controlled data. The pre-set transport measures are limited - with only four types of measure included: fuel use reduction though behavioural change/ efficiency improvements/ biofuels/ electricity. Although users can devise new measures, some measures (e.g. car clubs) would be hard to input as they impact on travel behaviour and vehicle efficiency. Designing own measures also requires some expert input. Although model comes with pre-loaded demographic and sector data, the measures are all essentially manually input and require a good knowledge of the potential impacts as well as knowing how to implement in the tool.
