The Zap Carbon tool is designed to encourage behavioural change in particular by helping to illustrate quick wins. It uses a very simple interface with a clear design. Although this simplicity also means that the scope of the footprint is limited to gas and electricity. The competition element of the tool allows communities to join together to reduce emissions. Competition also engages a wider section of society than might otherwise partake.
