CMLCA is an LCA tool developed by the University of Leiden. It is designed primarily for use by scientists and students, rather than consultants. CMLCA is extremely flexible. Most software for LCA has a pre-cooked allocation and impact assessment. In CMLCA, you can control (almost) everything. It comprises the most extensive set of options for doing life cycle interpretation. It is extremely advanced in including IO-based and hybrid LCA, LCC and eco-efficiency analysis. CMLCA does not contain process data or impact assessment data such as GWPs. The website gives details of where to download or purchase compatible datasets.

The CMLCA tool reflects state-of-the-art in integrated hybrid LCA research, combining process analysis with input-output analysis. It has been develeped by leading experts in the field. It comes without data (except example data) but data from LCI databases can be purchased and uploaded. It it most suitable for the serious researcher or hybrid LCA practitioner.
